How Renegade Publishers handles account, purchase, community and creator information.
Effective date: September 12, 2026. This notice describes information handled through Renegade Publishers, including its website, catalog, community accounts and publishing enquiries. External stores and streaming providers operate under their own privacy notices.
Who to contact
Renegade Publishers is the operator of this website. Contact RenegadePublishers@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests, or visit Support. Please do not include passwords, full payment-card numbers or government identification in an initial email.
Information you provide
Account registration collects a username, email address, password, phone number and birthdate. Passwords are stored through WordPress password protection, not as readable account fields. Creator applications may include a legal name, public display name, country, creative discipline, website and agreement records. Profile claims include your explanation and verification sources. We also receive information you submit in reviews, public profiles, messages to us and publishing proposals.
Phone numbers, birthdates, claim evidence and account email addresses are not intended for public display. Your chosen public username, avatar, approved reviews, creator biography and published credits may be visible to visitors and search engines. Only publish information you intend to share.
Purchases and payments
For purchases completed on this site, WooCommerce stores order, billing, shipping and transaction information needed to handle the purchase. Payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal or WooPayments process payments where offered at checkout. We may receive transaction identifiers, status and limited payment details; the payment provider handles card processing. External retailer purchases take place on the retailer’s site. We do not receive its full payment information merely because you followed a link.
Technical information, cookies and analytics
Hosting, security and website services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs and timestamps. Essential cookies support sign-in, security, shopping carts and preferences. The light/dark appearance preference is stored in your browser. The site includes an analytics integration; information handled by an analytics service depends on its configuration and your available browser or consent choices.
You can manage cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout. Browser privacy tools and opt-out controls offered by analytics providers may provide additional choices. The site does not promise that every browser “Do Not Track” signal changes its behavior.
Images, video and third-party content
Avatars may load from BuddyPress or Gravatar. Media can be delivered through hosting and content-delivery services, including Bunny where configured. A YouTube trailer is loaded when you choose its play/load control; YouTube then receives the technical data needed to deliver it. External links, social-sharing actions and embedded content can connect you to independent services. Review their notices before using them.
Publishing submissions and AI services
Proposals and other materials you send us are used to assess and respond to your publishing enquiry and, where agreed, to support editorial and publishing work. Do not send a full manuscript unless requested. The current submission guidelines set out our position on AI-written work.
When you ask the site assistant a question, your question, up to four previous questions from the open conversation and relevant published site information are sent to Google Gemini to prepare an answer. Choosing the speaker button sends the assistant’s answer to Gemini to generate speech. Microphone input uses your browser’s speech-recognition service and requires microphone permission; that service may process your audio remotely. You can review the recognized text before sending it. The assistant does not save conversation history to your account. The open page holds its current conversation and generated audio; operational records include rate limits and connection status. Creator AI tools and other integrated media services remain in development. Do not put confidential manuscripts, sensitive personal information or another person’s private information into a public site-assistant question. Provider processing and retention depend on the service and configuration used. Automated authorship checks are not conclusive proof that work was or was not created using AI.
Why we use information
We use information to operate accounts and the catalog, process orders, deliver support, review creator applications and ownership claims, administer public contributions, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security and improve the service. We use publishing and contact information to respond to the request or relationship for which you supplied it. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these activities may rely on performance of an agreement, legitimate operational interests, legal obligations or consent, depending on the processing.
When information is shared
Information may be processed by service providers for hosting, security, payments, email delivery, analytics, media delivery and enabled AI functions. We may disclose information where necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, investigate abuse, protect people or defend legal rights. Public content is available to other users and may be copied or indexed. A business transfer may require transfer of relevant records, subject to applicable requirements. This notice does not authorize a new use unrelated to the purposes described here.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the account, transaction, publishing relationship, support request or security purpose, and where records are required for legal, tax or dispute reasons. Backups may retain information for a further period before normal rotation. Retention depends on the record and the service provider; deleting an account does not necessarily erase records we must retain or copies independently made by others.
We use access controls and technical safeguards, but no website, email system or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password, sign out on shared devices and report suspected account misuse.
Your choices and requests
You can update available account fields in account settings. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data or information about its use. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of specified uses, or complain to a data-protection authority. We may verify identity and explain any legal or operational limits on a request. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate earlier processing based on that consent.
Marketing subscriptions, where offered, can be managed using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. Transactional and security notices may still be necessary for your account or orders.
Children and international visitors
The publishing and account services are intended for a general audience. If you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of online services. We do not treat collecting a birthdate alone as parental consent.
The website and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Applicable protections, service arrangements and legal requirements depend on the provider and activity. Contact us with questions about a particular processing activity.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as services and practices change. The effective date identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required. Review this notice when using newly introduced features.
